Photographic Competition: Terms & Conditions
1) The competition is open to residents of the UK and Ireland, excluding members of Ettington Community Centre Management Committee (ECCMC) and professional photographers. Entrants will be divided into two age groups: under 16 years old; 16 years and older. All entries must be the entrant's own work.
2) The subject of the competition is "Images of Ettington", with a maximum of three images per entrant. Entries should depict places and views in and around Ettington, Warwickshire. Photos can be taken with a digital or 35mm film camera, in colour or black & white.
3) Entrants must ensure that any person or persons whose image is used in a photo has given consent for the use of their image. Where such person is under 16 years old, the consent of that person's parent or guardian must be obtained.
4) The closing date for entries is 31 March 2010.
5a) Digital photos in JPEG format (maximum file size 2MB) should be submitted by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
5b) 35mm photos (maximum size 10" x 8") should be delivered to 38 Banbury Road, Ettington. Original 35mm negatives or slides must be available for enlargement should the entry be selected for permanent display.
6) All entries must include the entrant's name, address, age group (using your age on 31 March 2010) and title of each photo. Entries may be used on www.ettingtoncommunitycentre.co.uk ("the website") with the title, entrant's name and age group.
7) ECCMC will appoint an independant judging panel to determine the winner and two runners-up for each age group. Results will be announced by 30 April 2010 on the website. ECCMC reserves the right to withhold an award if entries do not meet the required standard.
8) The winning entries will be printed and hung on permanent display in the Community Centre, with the title, entrant's name and age group. ECCMC reserves the right to use the photos for publicity purposes that relate to this specific competition for a period of three years from the date that the results are announced.
9) Any personal data submitted will not be passed to any third party without the agreement of the entrant.
10) Entries are submitted at the entrant's own risk. ECCMC cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to any materials submitted, or the copying of images from the website by any third party.
