ETTINGTON CONNECTIONS BUSINESS NETWORKING GROUP APPEALS FOR MEMBERS AHEAD OF 4TH MARCH LAUNCH

New group for business networking for Stratford and South Warwickshire small business launches in Ettington

South Warwickshire entrepreneurs and small business owners who are looking for new ways to network and generate business leads need look no further than the newly launched Ettington Connections group says local business owner Annette Gann.
The group will be holding an all-day kick off event on Monday, 4th March 2013 at Ettington Community Centre. The group’s launch coincides the Office of National Statistics latest release indicating a 10% increase in the number of self-employed people in the UK since the start of the economic downturn in 2008.
Bucking an adverse economic climate, this positive trend in private enterprise, has led to the establishment of groups like Ettington Connections which provides a fortnightly co-working environment for small business owners who mainly work from home.
Commenting on the business environment where networking communities such as the new Ettington Connections group have set-up to support and encourage members in expanding their business, Annette Gann of Ettington-based Camden 360 Communications says, “It can be surprising to uncover the number of small businesses and home-workers in a community and this reflects an increasing desire to lead a flexible life, complementing family commitments and taking control of your own livelihood.”
The local business owner continues,  “Ettington is fortunate to have a modern, purpose-built community centre, with rooms that can be used to create an effective working environment including access to wi-fi. Like-minded business people will be able to come for the day – 10.30am to 4.30pm every other Monday from 4th March, work in a constructive environment and network and chat over a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake.”
Nationwide, networking groups are proving to be a targeted and cost effective means of building up useful business contacts and suppliers as well as stimulating opportunities to win direct business, while at the same time combining the sharing of best practice and tangible business support.
